Posting Etiquette: Posting on FrumCentral.com is Simple. The most important and fundamental principle for posting is: be a Mentch, post like a Ben/Bas Torah, and post material that would be suitable for young children, Rabbeim, and Torah/Mitzvos lifestyles and values.
Examples:
- No Loshon Hora - (Speaking unkindly about a person or a place) and all related concepts such as finger pointing, accusations, making "fun", rants/raves, derogatory, negative, proselytizing, etc., are not allowed whether explicit or implied.
- Be Courteous: Don't post the same subject more than once a day, be concise with your postings, don't be obscene, rude, etc.
Registration: In order to post on FrumCentral.com you will need to become a registered user.After you have submitted your registration request you will be sent a link to activate your account. Once you have clicked the link, you will be registered and can now post on the website.
Posting Rules/Notes:
- All posts will be submitted for approval before being displayed on the website.
- Users bear full responsibility for all content that they post on this site. (see Disclaimer)
- Local only: The Consumer posts are restricted to classifieds, events, and forums relating to this neighborhood. The Services/Shopping must either be in this neighborhood or servicing this neighborhood by coming here. (Example: an exterminator from another area can post here because they will come to the neighborhood to perform their service). Some exceptions such as Chol-Hamoed Events in other areas or Citywide Jewish Events may occasional be posted if it is of service to this community.
- User Name: Only your User Name will be shown on the website and not your email address unless you choose to do show your email address.
E-Mail Lists: Daily Email Digest: When you register it is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED that you sign up for the Daily E-Mail digest. This email will send a list once a day of all the new posts on the website. This is the best way to see what is happening on a daily basis.
Notes on Specific Sections of the website:
- Event Listings: This event calendar can be used to post School events, Shul events, Speakers, Special Shiurim, Community events, City-wide Jewish events (if they are of service to this local community), and more.
- Classified Listings: Post all types of classified listings for the local community
- Services & Shopping: Local businesses and services servicing the Shomer Shabbos customer. Coupons, Email Link, Website Link, business summaries, etc.
- Special Sections: Shul listings and other items of note for this local community.
